I’m Kayla, currently living in Taranaki, a coastal town on the west coast in the North Island of New Zealand but you’ll often find me, my partner Jack, and our two dogs travelling around the country in our Toyota Land Cruiser.

I have been working with dogs for almost a decade, and my life basically revolves around them. I have three dogs of my own, my oldest girl being a Shih Tzu named Indy, a Golden Retriever named Harvey, and my youngest being a Siberian Husky named Seva. Our pups have been embracing the nomadic lifestyle since puppyhood, and they love getting down and dirty at every spot we camp at.

Getting out there in nature is both fulfilling for us, but for our dogs too. Traveling with them is an absolute dream, and nothing beats seeing them have the time of their lives in the outdoors with us. We've driven across massive valleys, hiked endless trails, and found the coolest swimming spots and riverbeds for those much-needed chill-out moments. We are very lucky!

Given our lifestyle of travelling, and camping off the grid, my partner and I were noticing how dirty, stinky our dog collars, leashes and long lines were getting. Collecting mud, and soaking up water from the rivers we were camping next too. That got me thinking, and then I found ‘Biothane’, this material has been an absolute lifesaver for us, our dogs, and just the overall cleanliness of our vehicle too while on the road.

That’s how Roam With Dogs was born.
